ABOUT THE ARTIST - meeK is an American poet, spoken word vocalist, motivational speaker, writer and photography artist. Her collaboration with Bassist Kirk Green and The Brass King resulted in the release of her debut album 'Egression' in October 2007, which was well received on both sides of the Atlantic. An openly gay artist, meeK has participated in an GLBT fundraiser for Barack Obama and will appear in several national Gay Pride events in2008. Other notable features include; WHUR-WORLD(DC), ‘Love Tattoo’music video, WRFG(Alanta), WBAI-FM(New York), :) One Atlanta Magazine,WDAS-FM(Philadelphia), Access Atlanta, Winterfresh Music Series, she is the ‘resident poet’ of a monthly production, “Erotically Speaking”. A full-time artist, meek travels nationally, entrancing, entertaining & enlightening crowds of all backgrounds. Her first book, “Put the Devil to shame and tell the truth”, is set for release later this year. Some of her fine art is currently on display at Atlanta’s renowned Apache Café. As well as being a prominent performer and contributor within the Atlanta art community, meeK is a proud parent of two beautiful children.

Kathy Harris (BET's College Hill: Interns)

ABOUT THE ARTIST - Kathy is a 20-year-old actress, model, host, and poet. She is also currently studying for her B.F.A. in Acting. This south side Chicagoan can most recently be seen as a personality on BET’ s hit reality series College Hill Interns where she was voted the Most Valuable Participant by the very accomplished Dr. Ian Smith and the favorite cast member of the season on bet.com. She is an out lesbian television personality. She has been involved with community service organization such as Habitat for Humanity, Victory Center for senior assistant living, and now recently added projects are the Youth Pride Center of Chicago, the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment, South Shore High School’s Women’s Power Summit, and the National Black Justice Coalition “Power of Us Cover Shoot” for CLIK magazine, and Charles Franklin’s Colored Project. Reaching out to the community is something that you will continue to see Kathy doing because she has a true place for that in her heart. Her goals in the community are to become an advocate for the LGBTQI community, assist all youth communities in the areas of literacy, education, and self-awareness, and to spread love and help to the community at large. Some of the publications she has been featured in are The Red Eye, The Chicago Sun Times, AfterEllen.com, TreazureMag.com, and The Chicago Defender. This is truly the beginning for this young woman her passion, drive, and genuine spirit are surely the marks of someone destined for greatness.

ABOUT THE ARTIST - Debra Wilson is CEO of MOYO Entertainment, an Oakland-based production company. She also is the director and producer of Inside Blast, a news and entertainment show highlighting the LGBT community of color.
An award-winning filmmaker, Wilson’s most recent work Jumpin’ the Broom: The New Covenant premiered on SHOWTIME Networks Inc. and is part of the channel’s Black Filmmaker Showcase.
Wilson's latest film highlights Black lesbian and gay couples, who share personal and heartfelt stories that challenge levels of intimacy between two people. Their commitment redefines and honors love, family values, politics and religion in today's society. Best-selling author and educator Michael Eric Dyson is the film’s featured on-camera narrator.
In 2003, Wilson’s Butch Mystique documentary opened to critical acclaim at the San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. Her 30-minute film about butch identified African American women currently airs on MTV Logo and on Showtime. She also won the 2003 San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival and the Showtime Black Filmmakers Showcase Award.
Wilson’s 2001 film NIA: A Gathering of Our Sisterhood received honorable mention from the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame for producing her first short documentary, which made the festival rounds in New York, Atlanta and San Francisco.
A native of California, Wilson has worked in the film industry for 15 years in a variety of roles, including Talent Coordinator for news and entertainment where she recruited sports, weather and on-air personalities for CBS NEWS, FOX News and Disney as well as network affiliates. She also worked as Casting Assistant at Reuben Cannon and Associates in Los Angeles; where she worked on such projects as Mama Flora’s Family, and countless other Movies of the Week and television specials.
At Tam Communications as Associate Producer she produced several corporate training videos, sales and marketing videos, TV commercials, and Direct to Video projects.
